Archery Range • Beginner Class
Introduction to Compound Archery
A structured, progression-based lesson for new archers, first-time shooters, and new bow owners.
Oak Tree Gun Club is proud to offer a comprehensive beginner compound archery class, perfect for students with no prior archery experience. This 60–90 minute lesson combines safety and equipment instruction with live, coached shooting on our dedicated outdoor archery range, in a safe and comfortable environment.
What You Will Learn
- Range safety, commands, and etiquette
- Basic bow anatomy, arrow handling, and equipment
- How to safely draw and shoot a compound bow
- A repeatable shot process: stance, grip, draw, anchor, aim, release, and follow-through
- Consistent groups at 10–20 yards
Each class finishes with a review and a take-home practice plan, so you leave with wins on the target and a clear path to keep improving.

Instruction, Compound Bow Rental, Arrows, and Range Time.
Class Schedule
Every other Saturday, beginning July 18th.

Cost & Payment
Cost – $125 per person

Minors are welcome to take this class but MUST be accompanied by a Parent or Legal Guardian at all times.
Please advise our staff when scheduling if any additional accommodations are required.
Ready to move up? Ask about Level 2 – Intermediate & Advanced Compound Archery once you are shooting consistent groups.
